ActiVote’s June 1, 2026 presidential approval poll finds that President Trump’s approval rating is at 39.7%, while his disapproval rating is at 55.0% yielding a net disapproval of 15.3%.
A total of 672 ActiVote users weighed in on Trump’s approval between May 1 and May 31. They rated Trump on a 5-star rating, which is then converted into standard “approval” and “disapproval” percentages.
May’s numbers are a slight rebound from April’s which were the lowest of his second term and lower than the average approval during Trump’s first presidency (41.0%).
The groups with a net positive approval rating are rural, older (65+), Republicans and low income.
If we look at the left-to-right spectrum, Trump’s disapproval on the left and moderate left is unchanged with the last few months and nearly unanimous (97%). The support on the right and moderate right ticked up 1% in the last month from 80% to 81%, while it was over 90% in 2025. The centrists are still at an all-time low of -27%.
