The dispute intensified after the Supreme Court found Louisiana’s map, which included two majority-Black districts, was an unconstitutional racial gerrymander. Trump criticized the Democratic leader for his response to the decision, which civil rights advocates argue significantly weakens the Voting Rights Act.
