A poll conducted by the Financial Times found that 58 percent of American voters disapprove of President Donald Trump’s handling of the war involving Iran, reflecting growing public unease over the conflict and its economic consequences.
The survey also found that about 20 percent of Republican voters expressed dissatisfaction with Trump’s management of the war.
The findings add to a series of recent polls showing declining support for Trump’s foreign policy amid rising fuel prices and continuing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
A recent Marist survey similarly found that 60 percent of Americans disapproved of Trump’s handling of Iran, while more than one in five Republicans also voiced opposition to his approach.
