Donald Trump's 2024 New Year's Eve party has been described as bizarre
President Donald Trump ushered in the 2025 new year with a raucous, celebrity-studded celebration at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
It was a night that featured impromptu performances, viral dance-floor moments and one very visible toddler perched atop Elon Musk’s shoulders.
The Tesla and SpaceX chief arrived at the Tuesday night gala carrying his four-year-old son, X AE A-XII, high above the crowd. Videos posted by attendees showed Trump and Musk dancing together throughout the night, with Musk never once lowering his son.
One clip captured the pair breaking into Trump’s signature moves as the Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.” blasted through the ballroom. In another video, Musk stood beside Trump on a balcony, still holding his son, while bopping along to a remix of Pitbull’s “Feel This Moment.” It comes after Trump's 'grotesque' McDonald's order was exposed – and it involves sickeningly mashing two items together.
The evening took an even stranger turn when Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump stepped onstage and delivered a series of songs, including a cover of “I Won’t Back Down.”
As she sang, Musk and his son joined the crowd on the dance floor. At one point, X AE A-XII kept time by rhythmically pounding his hands on his father’s head.

Among the high-profile guests were Vice President-elect JD Vance and his wife, Usha; Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his wife, Jenny; and Sen. Ted Cruz.
Trump, Melania Trump and Musk all wore formal black tuxedos, while Melania paired the look with a black gown featuring a high slit, Page 6 reports.
The Trump family turned out in force, including Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump and Donald Trump Jr., who arrived with his new girlfriend, socialite Bettina Anderson.

Their relationship, which surfaced after a news outlet reported the end of his engagement to Kimberly Guilfoyle, drew its own attention at the party.
As one source previously put it: “Bettina and Don have been together for a few months, and are super cute and happy together. It’s just a natural fit — everyone is happy for them!”

The night, equal parts political meet-and-greet and surreal celebrity showcase, offered an early look at the unusual alliances and theatrical flair likely to surround Trump as he prepares to return to the White House.
It comes after Trump's health diagnosis was exposed by his doctor after alarming MRI fears.
