WASHINGTON (TNND) — President Donald Trump said on Friday that the scheduled opening for the White House ballroom will take place September 2028.
Under the Truth Social post, there is a picture of Trump walking with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Trump called Jinping one of the “world’s greatest leaders.”
Trump went to China earlier this week and on Friday wrapped up his talks with Jinping regarding stabilizing relations between the two countries.
These talks come amid the ongoing war in Iran. China is Iran’s largest trading partner.
Both leaders agreed that the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran shut down amid the war, has to be open.
Trump said that he and Jinping also agreed that Iran can’t have a nuclear weapon.
“We feel very similar about how we want it to end,” he said. “We don’t want them to have a nuclear weapon.”
Jinping was the visit was a milestone for both countries.
