(ABC 6 News) – A majority of Minnesotans disapprove of both President Donald Trump and Governor Tim Walz’s work, a new KSTP/SurveyUSA poll found. Additionally, DFL gubernatorial candidate U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar‘s approval remains mostly unchanged.
The new survey comes on the heels of Trump’s U.S.-Iran peace deal announcement. But results show only a 30% approve of the president’s decision to go to war. 65% of Minnesotans said they disapproved, and 6% said they were not sure.
The war caused inflation to steadily increase over the past few months, led by a huge jump in gas prices. That’s also likely responsible for the lowest approval rating recorded for Trump. 36% approve of his overall performance, with 60% disapproving.
Klobuchar’s approval is unchanged from six months ago. She’s currently polling at 48%, with a disapproval of 38%.
Walz’s is at the lowest approval every recorded by KSTP/SurveyUSA, with 43% approving, and 51% disapproving.
