U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval rating remains close to the lowest point of his entire political career. According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted this week, 35% of Americans support the White House chief’s performance. This was reported by Reuters, according to UNN.
The figure is unchanged from a mid-May poll and is only one percentage point above the low of the current presidential term recorded in April. At the same time, it is approaching the lowest level of support Trump saw during his first term, when his rating stood at 33% in December 2017.

The poll also showed pessimistic sentiment among Americans regarding fuel costs. About 59% of respondents believe that gasoline prices in the U.S. will rise over the next year. Only 17% expect them to decrease, while the rest are either undecided or believe prices will remain unchanged.
According to Reuters, the dissatisfaction of some Americans is linked to the Trump administration’s decisions regarding the war with Iran, which critics say contributed to rising fuel prices. Although gasoline costs have dipped slightly in recent weeks amid expectations of an end to the conflict, the majority of those surveyed continue to predict further price increases.
