President Donald Trump is quick to tout his successes online, but is facing real-world pushback from Americans on his policies, according to recent polls.
Trump has been sharing AI-generated content on a variety of topics, ranging from environmental issues to the conflict with Iran, on social media this week.
However, Trump continues to fare poorly with the American public. Recent polls place his disapproval rating in the upper-50 percentage range, and it reached as high as 63% in a May 15-18 Reuters/Ipsos poll.
In Michigan, Trump faces a 57% disapproval rating, according to May 26 poll results from Civiqs.
Here’s what to know about Trump’s approval ratings.
President Donald Trump shared several AI-generated images and other altered photos on his Truth Social account this week, including commentary on the U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict and Congressional elections in Texas.
One image showed the ocean floor lined with ships marked by the Iranian flag, criticizing CNN’s coverage of the conflict and seeming to depict U.S. bombing of Iranian tankers.
Trump also shared a post mocking James Talarico, a Democratic Texas State representative and U.S. Senate candidate, comparing him to Mad magazine mascot Alfred E. Neuman. This came following the May 26 Republican Senate primary in Texas in which Trump-backed Attorney General Ken Paxton defeated incumbent U.S. Sen. John Cornyn.
