Congressman Paul Tonko commented Wednesday on his recent calls for a vote in Congress to impeach President Trump.
“An unhinged president making a statement that is totally disregarding and disrespecting international law,” said Tonko.
Tonko’s demands follow the president’s threat Tuesday morning that “a whole civilization will die” if Iran did not open the Strait of Hormuz by last night.
The United States, Iran, and Israel have now agreed to a ceasefire. Tonko said he is thankful for the two-week pause in fighting, but worries about how much control Iran has over the agreement.
