Democrats will impeach him if they retake control of Congress, President Donald Trump predicted in a Sunday TV interview.

Democrats will impeach him if they retake control of Congress, President Donald Trump predicted in a Sunday TV interview with journalist Sharyl Attkisson, even though the U.S. has gone from being a “dead country“ to “the hottest country anywhere in the world.”
The interview came one month after Rep. John B. Larson (D-CT) filed articles of impeachment to remove Trump from office, noting that the president has become “more unhinged and risks the lives, safety, and security of the American people.”
Larson also called for Trump’s  cabinet to invoke the 25th  amendment and remove Trump from power as he “escalates his illegal war and threatens to annihilate an entire civilization.”
“Donald Trump has blown past every requirement to be removed from office. And it’s getting worse. His illegal war in Iran is not only driving up prices for American families — it has cost American lives,” said Larson in his press release. “He’s becoming more unstable by the day. His profane and sacrilegious Easter Sunday and subsequent threats, including ‘a whole civilization will die’ and ‘open the Strait…or you’ll be living in hell’ not only foreshadow war crimes, but put our security at risk.”
Larson also joined a group of a dozen House Democrats who filed impeachment articles against Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, charging him with illegal actions in killing survivors of military strikes in the Caribbean, targeting civilians, obstruction of Congressional oversight, reckless handling of sensitive military information, abuse of power and politicization of the armed forces, and leading an “unauthorized” war against Iran without Congressional approval.
