In the Trump-Musk feud, this married couple had to pick a side – The Times
The wife of a senior White House aide has announced she is no longer working for Elon Musk, in the latest twist of the political saga over the billionaire’s falling-out with President Trump.
Katie Miller, 33, wrote on X that she would cease her full-time role advising the Tesla boss and X owner in favour of launching a podcast.
In May, the wife of Stephen Miller, a key Trump ally and the White House deputy chief of staff, left the administration to work for Musk after his exit from leading the Department of Government Efficiency. She had previously served as a spokeswoman for the department.

During Trump’s first term she was press secretary and later communications director to Mike Pence, his vice-president.
Her departure from the second Trump administration, as relations between Musk and Trump soured, became a talking point in Washington.
Questions were asked as to where her loyalties lay given her husband’s role as Trump’s right-hand man and the architect of the administration’s deportation policy. The Democratic Party’s official X account taunted Mr Miller over the apparent conflict.
In a sign of tensions behind the scenes, Musk then “unfollowed” Mr Miller on X. Last month he did the same for Mrs Miller, leading to questions about her employment status.
Explaining her motivation for launching The Katie Miller Podcast on Thursday, she said in a video: “For years I’ve seen that there isn’t a place for conservative women to gather online … As a mom of three young kids, who eats healthy, goes to the gym, works full-time, I know there isn’t a podcast for women like myself.”
The show has been pitched as the conservative answer to the liberal-leaning podcast Call Her Daddy, hosted by Alex Cooper, which has built a following among young women with celebrity interviews and discussions about dating and popular culture.
Mrs Miller’s first episodes will include interviews with JD Vance, the vice-president; Mike Tyson, the former professional boxer; and the broadcaster Sage Steele.
Asked by Axios about her relationship with Musk, Mrs Miller said: “I hope Elon is a listener to the podcast and I hope to have him as a guest one day.”
