Tech billionaire Elon Musk seemed to be having fun in Beijing on Thursday morning, taking the opportunity to take a photo in front of the Great Hall of the People, ahead of the Trump-Xi meeting.
The video, which is widely circulated on social media, shows Musk standing next to other American business leaders and officials, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Apple CEO Tim Cook.
As they chatted, standing in a few neat rows, Musk held up his phone and slowly spun in a circle, capturing the scene at the Beijing monument.

The clip was instantly viewed hundreds of thousands of times, with many amused by Musk’s informality.
“True to his nature, Musk jokingly posed for photos as a child, while those around him were formally dressed and radiated authority,” one X user posted.
Musk is participating in President Donald Trump’s two-day visit to China, along with other powerful American technology businessmen.
