CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — (UPDATE, 5:53 pm) – Just minutes after Donald Trump announced his endorsement for Alan Wilson in the SC Gov race, U.S. Sen. Tim Scott followed suit, endorsing the current Attorney General over LT. Gov. Pamela Evette.

Donald Trump took to Truth Social Friday to endorse both Alan Wilson and Pamela Evette for SC Governor, expressing that both candidates are "MAGA and America First all the way."
"I can’t hurt one of them by only endorsing the other," Trump said, "so, therefore, I am going to endorse, for Governor of South Carolina, both Pam Evette and Alan Wilson! It’s a Wealth of Riches – With either one you can’t go wrong."
Trump had already publicly endorsed Evette back in May, but the presidential endorsement is new, and welcomed news for AG Wilson.
Wilson took to social media to express his gratitude to President Trump for the endorsement.
